I had just arrived at K6AA, signed in, and turned on the HF Rig. Tuning around on the dial I heard the words "Aeronautical Mobile," so I listened while he had contacts with other hams. After a few minutes, I gave a call. The operator, Doug KB1PMJ/AM, said he was en-route to San Francisco and Maui in a Challenger 604 Business Jet at 38000 Feet. He gave me a good 59 signal and reported the ride was smooth and visibility was great from up there. That was my First QSO of the day.
